Text Box: Davey Jackson Chapter

Jackson, Wyoming

Chapter members come from the beautiful, scenic Jackson Hole, Wyoming, country in the shadow of the Teton Mountains. The town of Jackson got its name from David E. Jackson, a trapper working with General William Ashley of St. Louis trapping beaver in the area in the early 1800s.  The second word, “Hole,” refers to the opening in the mountains which leads to the town site.

The Davey Jackson chapter is named for this early mountain man.

Chapter meetings are held monthly September through May. To learn  more about our DAR chapter, contact
