Trade Rules
- NOTHING on this site is for sale. Please don't even ask. If you are desparate for something
and have nothing to trade, let me know. I may be able to work something out.
- I do not trade any officially released music. If you see anything listed that has
been officially released, please let me know so I can remove it.
- Use only name brand CD-Rs. Currently I am using Japanese-made Taiyo Yuden disks.
Other good brands are Fuji, Kodak, Sony, Mitsui & TDK.
I have had terrible luck with Imation, Verbatim or other cheap brands or generic disks.
Do not use them.
- NO GAPS. All disks must be recorded Disk At Once (DAO) with no burn errors.
I highly recommend using Exact Audio Copy to extract. It can be downloaded free at http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/eac11.html.
- Artwork does not need to be sent with disk. It can be either e-mailed or you
can provide a link to a website that has the artwork. I have artwork available for
many items on my trade list unless indicated otherwise. I will either e-mail the
artwork or send it on a disk (usually just for large trades). If you do not have artwork I
would appreciate a setlist.
- I do not send jewel cases. They just get broken.
- Use appropriate packing materials. I send all disks in protective paper or
plastic sleeves and padded mailers.
- All disks are sent first class mail. Outside the U.S. I send
via air mail.
- Do not use MP3 as a source unless agreed upon in advance.
- I will not write on the disks unless you ask me to. Usually I write the name of
the show on a sticky note and attach it to the disk. Please don't write on the disks you
send me. A sticky note is fine or write on the paper sleeve.
- If I send you a bad disk I will replace it immediately. I expect you to do the same.
- And the most important rule, enjoy the music!
