The Rolling Stones - Hollywood Bowl, Nov 6, 2005 (Matrix Version)
Live at the Hollywood Bowl, Hollywood, California, November 6, 2005. Matrix version combines ALD source with audience source. 1st source : LR400 > Sony TCD-D100 ( ALD) taper : bench boy transfer : markp 2nd source : Schoeps MK41 > actives > NBox > (Oade mod) SBM-1 > D100 TRANSFER: D100 > Teac RW-CD22 > hard drive > Sound Forge 7.0 > CD Wave > FLAC Frontend TAPER: "Josephine" MATRIX : BOGUSPOMP 1st source had the right channel out of phase. Typical for an ALD recording it had the 60 Hz hum. Also some noise was present. I took care of all this and matrixed this source with a little bit of the 2nd source > means: 110 % come from the ALD and 28 % from the 2nd audience source. That makes more than 100 % and yes, as the original 1st source was a little soft in volume the combination of the 2 sources made a perfect match. The recording now has a great direct punch from the snare and wonderful direct sound from the rest of the band but also some ambience from the audience which gives a nice stereo feeling and a being there sound to the original mono ALD recoding."
