Lori

There are several excellent web sites that deal with the philosophies and politics of gender expression. Although I realize the importance of such issues I will leave that to those better qualified and equipped to discuss them. What I would like to write about here is a little about myself and my life as it relates to crossdressing. Hopefully, I will answer most the questions that are routinely ask of me.

Crossdressing and my proclivity for the feminine are only part of the overall person I try to be. I am a college graduate, decorated Vietnam war veteran, successful business person, avid sportsman, community leader, and so on. I do my best to integrate the positive characteristics of both genders into my everyday life and personality. Although crossdressing is very important to me it certainly is not the most important or driving force in my life. Sure, given the opportunity and circumstances I would love to be able to spend more time as Lori but I am quite content to be a "part time girl" and enjoy it when I can.

I am forty something and live in beautiful Casper, Wyoming. I have been divorced for four year and have custody of my eight year old son. I do not live full time as a woman and have never taken female hormones. I am quite fortunate to be fairly small (5’ 6" and 127 lbs., size 8) which is a great advantage when it come to presenting a believable female image. Although I don’t go out dressed very often here in my home town I do have a few female friends that I occasionally venture out with. I often travel to Denver for long weekends and will usually spend the entire time enfemme. While there I pretty much go anywhere and do anything any other woman would do. I love to shop for clothes and go out with friends. I always try to dress very feminine but also in a manner appropriate for the time of day, where I’m going, and what I plan to be doing. I usually wear dresses but do have a few pants outfits for when it get really cold. I especially like going to places or events that allow me to get all dressed up and wear some of my more elegant dresses and accessories.

I also try and attend a couple of the gender conventions every year. I have been to several but my favorite by far is the Texas T Party and I looking forward to attending again in ‘97. If you’ve never attended one of the major events I strongly suggest you give it a try! There are still a lot of things I'd like to experience as Lori such as, play golf, downhill ski, and, most of all, to appear on one of the country dance shows (Club Dance or Wildhorse).

If you’d like to know more about how I got started dressing and such please see my page about my Ladylike magazine feature.
