"Tending Peace" is the Summer tapestry from the Seasons Series. As a pacifist, when the US again went to war, I felt I needed to plant a peace rose in my garden. One afternoon, a I had a friend pose by my rose, and this tapestry began to take form.

The central tapestry image is surrounded by symbols of peace: bleeding hearts, a dove, an olive branch, and a crane, as well as the peace rose.

The Seasons tapestries are all also inspired by the Arts and Crafts design style.
