I live in western Colorado, where there is an amazing variety of terrain. On the Grand Mesa. my family has a rustic cabin, which is surrounded by gnarled acorn bearing scrub oak trees. The fallen acorns are eagerly hoarded by the area residents that live in and under the thick shrub growth. Unless you really look at them, the trees are not 'pretty'. Unless you pay attention, there is beauty that you will not notice...

 

This tapestry was chosen to be in the US State Department's Art in Embassies program. It resided for a time in the Ambassador's Residence in Lesotho, South Africa.
