"Prairie Polka", the second of the tapestries in my Heritage Series, is also of my father's German-American family in Kansas. Music has always been a large part of my family life. My father is a musician. He was a music teacher by profession. Music is a part of my family landscape... as much a part as were the grain silos and wheat fields of western Kansas.
