Comic Sans MS Camp Hope, Wyoming's summer camp for children with diabetes, provides a week long residential camp session the last full week of June each year, produced on our leased site, Camp Wyoba located atop Casper Mountain, just 15 minutes south of the city of Casper. The camp is designed to provide opportunities for children with diabetes to become more knowledgeable in the care of their diabetes while enjoying a wholesome atmosphere of fun and peer association in a beautiful mountain setting. The camp is staffed by experienced counselors, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and dietitians. Proper individula diabetic management is maintained through a regular program of blood glucose testing, and a professional review of medical records on a daily basis. Camp Hope was established in 1979. The Directors have more than 25 years experience with Camp Hope and the majority of the counseling and medical staff have 10 or more years of history with Camp Hope.k#$d3 b@@E@k@d3?? We do have a phone with an answering machine where you can leave us a message with your name, mailing address, or email address to get back to you. We need all of this information to properly care for each child, so please, please fill out all of the forms completely and return them to us no later than June 1. Sometimes the physicians' form must be sent in later to accomodate appointments, but they should be sent as soon as possible. We supply all of your child's diabetes care needs at camp, so needless to say, we need to know what to order well in advance of the first day of camp. We request a $10.00 deposit be sent in with the registration forms. The balance of $240 can be paid at arrival and check-in. Camp Hope exists solely upon camper fees and private donations. However, no child will be denied the opportunity to experience camp due to inability to pay. We will accept partial payment, or full camperships are available due to the generosity of friends of Camp Hope. If a partial or full campership is necessary, THEY SHOULD BE REQUESTED ON THE APPLICATION FORM WHEN IT IS RETURNED. CAMP HOPE IS A 501(c)(3) NON PROFIT CORPORATION. DONATIONS PAID TO CAMP HOPE ARE FULLY TAX DEDUCTIBLE. AS SOON AS WE RECEIVE THE INITIAL APPLICATION FORM AND DEPOSIT, WE WILL IMMEDIATELY SEND OUT COMPREHENSIVE INFORMATION ABOUT CAMP, INCLUDING WHEN TO ARRIVE, WHAT TO BRING AND WHAT NOT TO BRING, HOW TO FIND THE CAMP, AND WHEN CAMPERS MUST BE PICKED UP. Campers learn how to live with diabetes through association and some structured educational sessions.
