BEAGLE Award

The Billings Exemplary Advocate for Gifted Learners and Educators (BEAGLE) Award is presented each year to the person whose dedication to gifted and talented students and their education serves as inspiration for the continuing improvement of education in Billings.

This award was established in 2001 by the Parents for Enrichment Programs (PEP) parent group to honor the dedication and advocacy efforts of Stephanie Smith. Stephanie is a founding member of AGATE, our state Gifted and Talented Education organization and is a motivating factor in maintaining the Billings PEP group. Although retired from teaching, Stephanie continues to work with teachers, administrators, parents, and students around the state advocating for the special needs of gifted learners.
